As you can see Pixie got black streaks in her hair after ‘Quest For Magik’
Her hair randomly went back to all-pink in the covers of ‘Manifest Destiny’ (weirdly enough the black streaks ARE remembered in the art inside the book, just not on the covers) and in the series 'Pixie Strikes Back’. (Both covers and inside art)
Manifest Destiny was published in 2009 Pixie Strikes Back in 2010
She got her Bloodstones back later in New Mutants V.3 in 2011. It’s never really been explained why the streaks disappeared.
In retrospect, after calling out the Continuity Monkey, one thing has occurred to me.
The biggest plot twist in ML will be that we will in all actuality NEVER get a reveal.
Don’t care if it’s been confirmed as happening in S2. In a show where everything’s made up and continuity doesn’t matter, realistically we’re never going to have a reveal that sticks (since, really, whatever happens in the reveal episode is going to be disregarded in the next episode).
I’m wrong. I have to be wrong. But it’s that ‘One Fear’ meme. Now that the idea’s lodged itself in there it’s not going away. ._.
