Contacting me about your game
If you have a game that you are making that you want to introduce to me, doesn't matter if it is complete, only a demo, or in development. Please send me an email to [email protected], there isn't anything you need to fill out for an email, just type out a basic synopsis of your game along with an image or two. Nothing that's sent to my emails will be shown at all for confidental reasons (and I'm not a fan on breaking trust). Though the only thing I must require in any emails is a developer name you go by, or else I can't reference you in any of my let's plays.
Don't contact me on my email just to say hi, you can do that very easily by tweeting me, @flareblitzedyt on here, message me on twitter/tumblr/facebook, or any variations asides email, this includes fanart too, don't send fanart via email, or else I won't respond at all. I have this email address setup for my YT Channel to allow people to share their game(s) to me privately, I'm not looking for any sponsorship arrangements either (I do YouTube for fun, not for money).
Edit: If you’re a translation team/personnel, then the same applies as a developer of a game, you can contact me about the game(s) that you’re translating/translated to English.
My dad died when I was kid and I used to see him/ otherwise sense him. I also used to have dreams where I talked to him occasionally. The last time I dreamt of him was several years ago and he said he was moving on. I'd really like to contact him about something. I've seen a lot of advice on contacting non-human spirits, but would the same methods work for dead humans? Also, is there a good way to make sure I get my dad and not someone else lying to me? Thanks so much!
Hello darling. I’m sorry it took me so long to answer, I really wanted to do it right.
I understand you want to contact your dad, and I’m 200% sure I would too if I were you. However, before we move on, I’m gonna ask you to reconsider. The dead are resting if they’ve moved on, so contacting them past this point can be stressful for them and even scary.
However, we’re talking about your FATHER. So I’m sure he won’t mind if you feel you need him. He’s surely gonna come to you, come hell or high water. It’s better however that you don’t contact too often, it can be really exhausting for a spirit to travel such great distances.
As for contacting: it’s rather stressful of a method the one I’m gonna teach you, but it’s so powerful that it’ll naturally repel any spirits that might want to take advantage and lie to you.
If you want an extra layer of protection, you can use a light sheet or a mostly translucent piece of fabric to create a strong privacy barrier. When your dad comes, imagine the two of you under it, strong light all around, filtering through the fabric.
The best way to contact a specific passed relative is to prepare the right correspondences.
The more we know about the person, the better. The best ritual I can offer is this:
You’ll have to gather five things from the person. One per sense or per element. There are a lot of different opinions on which sense corresponds to each element. This is my personal equivalence:
-Fire: touch.
-Water: sound.
-Air: smell.
-Earth: taste.
-Spirit: sight.
You can cast a circle or not, I personally don’t think it’ll be necessary.
Gather these five things that will remind you strongly of your father. It can be a little hard, especially if he passed away when you were very young. But try as much as you can to get them. For example something related to smell could be a cologne he used to wear, or a plant he liked, or the smell of a memory you two shared like rain water. For sound, if you have a recording of his voice, that would be perfect, but you can also write down something you remember him saying, so his voice resonates in your mind. For touch, maybe a piece of clothing, or something that was his. Taste, a food he liked, but mostly I’ve seen people taste the flavor of their own tears because they were there when they lost their relatives. Sight, a photo or a video would be great.
The second step for this ritual is to put yourself in a state of absolute need. This will be easily achieved. It happens all the time.
There are many ways to get in the mood of nostalgia and aching, reaching out for someone as important as a father. We do it accidentally all the time.
Think of him. Think of specific details. Do you remember if his hands were rough and calloused or gentle? Do you remember his voice? Do you remember something he taught you? Do you remember his laughter? Something he used to do?
Think of how you need him. Think of all the times you dreamed of him. Think of his love.
Once you’ve reached this state of profound need and aching, call him. Don’t bother with complicated words. Be simple. “Dad, I miss you and I need to talk to you.” Think of it as living far away from him and calling him for a visit.
He will come.
Music can go a long way too to remind you of how much you need your dad. Movies too. And poems and stories. Don’t think it needs to be anything fancy, it just has to break your heart. It has to make you hurt of need.
Here are some of my personal recommendations. These are just some of my favorite songs and covers that I feel will suit the atmosphere. Remember this has to be about you, your feelings, so if there’s something that reminds you of him and makes you feel stronger than these songs, that’s what you should go for.
These get progressively sadder, warning.
“You can’t lose meBet your lifeI am here and I will always beJust a wish awayWherever I goNo matter how farMy love is where you areYou won’t be lost if you believeYou can’t lose me"
Let me know if you need more help.
