Enter the consumer-pull data economy
So, you stumbled upon our site, wondering what this is about? Well, we are a bunch of Web data engineers on the sunny West coast of Ireland and want to make the world a better place, at least concerning [data management](http://blog.okfn.org/2012/03/09/from-cms-to-dms-c-is-for-content-d-is-for-data/). Our motto is to **realise a consumer-pull data economy through publishing standard Open Data**. Now, what do we mean by this? So, consumer-pull or self-service, both denote the process where a data consumer can simply help herself with regards to a request for certain information. If you want to learn more about how we help establish a consumer-pull data economy for government agencies, check out [my recent talk](http://speakerdeck.com/u/mhausenblas/p/how-to-realise-a-consumer-pull-data-economy-through-publishing-standard-open-data) at the Irish Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) Open Source Forum in Dublin. In any case, glad to have you around and hope you'll find your way back here, again. Cheers, Michael Hausenblas
