I didn’t expect to become an expert in electrical code — but this project forced me to learn more than I ever wanted to.
The image here shows just a glimpse of the electrical work done during my cabin construction project. No proper circuit protection, exposed connections, and unsafe routing that made even basic use of outlets risky. When I raised these concerns, instead of addressing them, the contractor’s response focused entirely on money.
“Pay in full first,” I was told — while live wires and safety risks were still unresolved.
I’m sharing this not out of frustration, but as a reminder to others: inspect everything, even if the structure looks complete. Behind the walls, shortcuts can be dangerous.
