Okay, so I've been really standoffish about MGSV on PC. I really wanna get it on PS4, because yes. But I've been really thinking about the Pc version, because it means I can broadcast without the cutscenes being interrupted.
But my alienware is ever so slightly outdated. I've been worried it might not be able to handle the fox engine at its best.
I just got Ground Zeroes for the PC, to try it out. See what my computer could handle.
My pc runs GZ at higher specs than the xbone lmao
Like... PS4 runs GZ at 1080p at 60 fps solid. No problems.
Xbone runs it at 720p 60 fps solid lmao fuck you xbone.
My pc? It runs GZ at 1080p at 30fps pretty solid. I get a little jitter, but it's handleable. I did try at 60 fps, but I get a LOT of frame drop, so it's just not consistant.
It runs GZ at 720p at 60fps like a boss, fuck you xbone. My Alienware X51 is outdated as fuck. Like, seriously. It's a good computer, but it's nearly 3 years old, and it's DYING.
But 720p looks like ass, and really limits your long-range view. Hense why the PS4 has an edge on the Xbone.
I found a good middleground, though. 1600x1200 at 30fps. I haven't tried it at 60fps, but it's pretty solid at 30, so I'll try 60 sometime.
But what this really means, is that I'll be able to broadcast MGSV:TPP from my computer, with little-to-no issue, depending on the settings I have.
Note: The shadows don't look as good on my PC as they do on PS4, but that's hardly an issue lmao
Also note: All of the numbers on resolutions and frame rates for Xbone and PS4 were taken from various gaming sites that compare games on different consoles. Like Eurogamer.
