The pitter-patter outside was briefly muffled by the sound of knocking on the door. Surprised to receive any visits, I stood up and went to open the door. I would have never imagined who it could be, and my heart skipped a beat at the sight.

There stood Connor, and although I was excited by his visit, it also brought a knot to my stomach when the concern that something bad might have happened settled. It could have been the fact that he was soaking wet because of the rain, but he looked slightly defeated and sad.

“C-Connor” I cleared my throat when my shaky voice betrayed my nerves. “What are you doing here? Is everything alright?”

He stood there for a bit, gawking at me as though I was the one paying him a sudden and unexpected visit. After a moment, he bowed his head down and nodded. Without me saying anything, he glanced up and locked gazes with me once more.

“I needed to talk to you, Y/N” There was a pronounced frown on his brow. “I hope I’m not bothering you”

“No, not at all” I tried to smile at him, even if his mere presence was flustering me. After all we had lived together, my feelings for him were starting to surface no matter how hard I tried to repress them. “Please come in”

Stepping to the side, I gave him so space to walk inside. With a polite ‘thank you’, Connor stepped in. He refused to make eye contact again.

“Uh... What is that you wanted to talk to me about?” 

“I... Well, I came here to tell you...” 

“Yes?”

“I... I have feelings for you, Y/N”

It was now my turn to gawk at him as my brain tried to process what he had just said. Connor stood there, shrinking over himself and appearing incredibly vulnerable. It made me want to hug him, but when he winced and shook his head I knew he didn’t say it as a happy confession.

“I shouldn’t be in love with you” Connor continued in a sudden frenzy, speaking quickly. “I shouldn’t be in love, I shouldn’t be feeling anything, and if someone were to find out...”

“Connor” I tenderly took his face into my hands to stop his panic. “I know humans can be selfish and cruel, but there’s nothing wrong with having humanity”

He hesitated, still frowning as he watched me. His mouth opened, though no words left it in his astonished and confused state to my quick acceptance.

“You are still free to make your own choices and not act on your feelings, I will not blame you for it” I knew he was scared, and I was a little bit myself, so the last thing I wanted to do was pressure him. His turmoil was great enough already as he debated himself with deviancy. “You are free to do as you like, it’s part of what being human means”

Connor’s eyes grew bright with unshed tears as he stared at me. He finally relaxed under my touch and the corner of his lips even curled up slightly.

“May I kiss you then?” Was his response, which took me by surprise. My heart started racing as I let go of him.

I wanted to say yes, I was dying to, but the word got caught in my throat. Dissapointed by my hesitance, the small smile left his lips. Realizing he had misunderstood my reaction, I rushed to vehemently nod my head. The smile returned to its rightful place.

That way, Connor was now the one to place his hands on my face as he brought us closer. He was still soaking wet and somehow the kiss was still warm and calm. It was clumsy and unsure, but tender and sweet nonetheless.

Requested

- You and Evan are pretty open with one another. Yes you still had disagreements like normal siblings but with what Evan was going through you were just a lot more supportive and understanding of one another. This means that when you first start dating Connor you tell him that you want to bring him over and ask if thats alright as you know that your home is Evan’s safe space where he feels the most comfortable. Evan is fine with this and tries to talk with you about it: “So you - um, you really like this guy - Connor?”. “Yeah I really REALLY like him, Evan”. “As long as he, you know, he makes you happy” Evan would reply with a smile. You’d kiss his cheek and thank him, immediately texting Connor to invite him over. 

- The first time you brought Connor home you thought he might be mean to Evan but he was actually nice to him - well as nice as Connor could be to new people. And now they get along... ok. Connor and Evan definitely ... tolerate each other. 

- In fact if you two were ever chilling at your house you’d invite Evan to come and eat with you or watch a movie. I mean he’d always decline, not comfortable with the idea that you two might get a bit too comfortable, but he’d appreciated the gesture. 

- Sometimes when you weren’t home, you’d tell Connor he could come to your house and stay there until things with his family calm down. Whenever he did he and Evan would just awkwardly talk or stand in silence until Evan made an excuse to get away or you returned home. 

- Evan is very protective brother (even though his anxiety might not make him seem like it) but he’s just protective in his own ways. He’s not going to be the type to threaten Connor not to hurt you. Instead, before your first date he’d drop you off and be like “I can pick you up whenever and don’t, um, don’t do any, you know, anything you’re not comfortable with”.

- Heidi would be a sceptical of Connor at first. “Isn’t he a bit old for you?” “We’re the same age, mom” “Well he’s very tall”. You think it was his hair and nails (and intimidating demeanour) which scared her off a bit, but she comes round to him in the end seeing how happy he makes you. She always tries to leave you a bit more money so you can invite Connor round for take out pizza when she's out at work. 

-  (is it bad that I kind of get Regina George’s mom vibes from Heidi - like only the ‘I’m not just a mom, I'm a cool mom’ and the walking into to the room offering snacks and a condom. No? Just me?? Like maybe she’d walk in on you and Connor getting a bit handsy and be like “Ok, this is a positive thing. Having happy sexual relations is a good thing at your age so just keep doing what you’re doing” rather than scolding you idk)

- If you and Connor ever got in a fight, you just know that Evan would always be there to comfort you. He’d let you cry into him and rant to him and he’d nod supportively and try to help you. 

- Connor has a habit of breaking into your room through the window whenever he gets sick of his parents, but the first time he did it he didn’t know which window was yours and climbed through Evan’s window in the middle of the night. The poor boy nearly had a heart attack thinking that a murderer was climbing into his house. Connor just climbs in, notices Evan, and the two of them just freeze for a moment awkwardly, Connor halfway through the window and Evan half crouching at the end of his bed, until Connor is like “Where’s your umm ... your sisters room?” and Evan replies “Down there” and just points him down the hall. “Uhh thanks” Connor says practically running to your room.

Connor:

You and Connor had known each other for a long time

You were assigned to help him and Hank with the deviant cases

Being an android yourself, you got along with Connor quickly

Your programming was similar too, so you thought very alike

Putting both your minds together to solve cases

Being around deviant androids, things started to change

You kept seeing how much they suffered, and it deeply hurt you

No one knew you were deviant, not even Connor

And you always had to pretend like you weren’t, keep appearances

You were too scared about the consequences to tell anyone

Even with Connor, you were terrified that he would tell on you

That he felt like it was his job to inform about things like that

But you spent too much time with Hank and Connor

At first it was only Hank who noticed certain things

Like when you were interrogating a deviant and you got upset

“Y/N, are you alright?” “Yes, Lieutenant Anderson” “You look… sad”

Alarms went on in your head and you tried to deny it

Especially being under their scrutiny, so you shook your head

“I was only surprised, what happened wasn’t amongst my plans” 

“You didn’t see it coming? Aren’t you supposed to know the odds?” 

Connor was now watching you closely too, suspicious

“I suppose I miscalculated, I’ll run a self-analysis” 

Satisfied with this answer for now, they left you alone

Until you were on a case and had to chase a perp

The perp had cornered Connor and pointed a gun at him

Connor didn’t seem scared, he wasn’t deviant after all

He only saw himself as a machine and wasn’t afraid to die

By that point, he could only think about his stupid mission, nothing more

“Wait!” You stepped between them, protective of Connor. “Don’t shoot”

You were perfect to negotiate, being a deviant yourself

“I am deviant too” You told the perp, hoping he would surrender

Your strategy worked and the perp gave himself in

Still, that day Connor discovered that you were deviant

He didn’t tell on you, but he was a bit distant when you confronted him

“Connor, what are you thinking?” “I’m thinking you lied to me”

You frowned, since he seemed to be hurt by your secret

“Do you feel betrayed? Hurt, resentful?” “Yes, why didn’t you say it?” 

“I thought you didn’t feel, Connor” “Maybe I’m going deviant myself…”

Thinking back, you could see little clues about his own deviancy

How he cared about Hank and about you and protected you

Always with the excuse of the case and needing your help

But the more you thought about it, the more he had shown to feel

“It can be our little secret” You smiled, and so did he

It was a relief to get that off your chest and confess to Connor

That way, you also helped protect each other

And comfort each other because of the guilt that came with the job

You were androids who chased androids, and couldn’t be deviant

But no one had to know you were deviant, you were safe together

OMG Can I please request about trying to get Connor (DBH) to dress up for halloween, but he just doesn’t understand it. Eventually his S/O convinces him to do it? Thank you so much!

I’m not really that inspired for a DBH scenario now, so I’ll write this as headcanons if you don’t mind ;) Thanks for requesting, lovely!

Connor:

Connor notices how excited you are for Halloween and gets curious

So he easily downloads some info to his database

And he knows everything about the historical aspect of Halloween

Maybe even some of the traditions, like trick or treating

And when he tells you, you’re pretty endeared by the gesture

The fact that he saw you were so eager and excited about it

So he wanted to learn more about this thing you love

And also will let you rant about it too

However, you tell him it’s not the same as experiencing it

Even if you know about it, you need to go on on Halloween 

To get immersed and feel the spoopy spirit

You explain why Halloween is special, why it’s so fun

The ambiance, the excitment of the spooky season

How people watch horror movies to get in the mood

How the scarier something is, the better

How people are creative about it and just have fun!

You basically say it’s like a ‘dark Christmas’ so he gets the basic concept

And say that people put up lots of decorations too

Connor then shows an interest in this human custom

Even if you know, mostly, he does it for you

So you two prepare to celebrate it together

You watch horror movies (cuddling and hiding in his embrace when you get scared)

And it’s adorable because he very logically explains to you that you’re safe

That even in a real life situation you still have good odds and everything

And you go trick or treating together! 

You dress up as Sherlock and Watson and it’s super fun!

Connor still doesn’t quite understand things?

But he lets himself go and does whatever you want, accompanies you

In the end he starts enjoying too and gets a lot of candy

He’s adorable with kids too, complimenting their costumes

He actually loves seeing people dressed up

I’ll write this as headcanons, I guess, but please be more specific! I need more information to know how to write, otherwise I won’t be able to! At the very least, the type of request, and maybe a more specific situation, more complete! 

Connor:

At first Connor would feel a little flustered around you

A little shy and clumsy, not to mention awkward

You’re so energetic and extroverted! 

You’re always having affectionate gestures with him

Nudging him, patting his back, pinching his cheek…

Or kissing him in the cheek, hugging him, linking your arm with his…

With those, you directly leave him buffering

And you joke around a lot, especially when you fluster him

“Oops, I think I broke you, Connor” 

Honestly, he doesn’t mind, he actually loves it

The fact that you’re always so optimistic and passionate?

He loves the vibe you send all the time

To the point that he misses you when you’re not around

And he can’t get enough of you

It’s just sometimes he feels like he can’t catch up with you

Like he doesn’t have that in him, to be so open and upbeat

Sure, he’s friendly and always tries to be kind

But you’re so spry and bouncy and bubbly!

He soon realizes, though, that you like him just the way he is

And he feels much better then

Domestic Connor:

Okay, Connor is adorkable and loves all the affection

At first it was weird for him, not being used to it

But he just loves having little gestures with you, especially in private

And once he got used to them, he initiates them very often!

Even if he’s sometimes shy and just holds your hand

It’s very cute, though, because you’re probably sitting together

And he takes your hand out of the blue

But when you look at him, he’s looking away

Like he didn’t even do anything

To which you laugh and kiss him in the cheek

You do mostly everything together

Cuddling in the couch happens like every day

Just grab a blanket, put a movie, get some snacks

Connors asks a lot of questions during movies, though

But you assume the cuddling position and watch it anyway

You rest against Connor’s chest and he wraps his arms around you

Then you lean your head back on his shoulder

And his hands rest over yours, thumbs caressing your skin

You two are so thoughtful of each other

Connor makes sure your needs are covered

That you eat, sleep and are hydrated

That you’re not cold or stressed out

And you make sure he’s comfortable at all times

Or that he understands your jokes, that he feels normal

He is always ready to run on any errands

Even if you have a craving of ice cream at two in the morning

He will go, he has never said no to you

Or when you need some ingredients for lunch, he’ll go get them

You share chores at home, it’s just fair

Connor is a little clumsy at them, though, he’s so unfamiliar!

You have to help him sometimes because he’s a bit lost

But eventually he gets the hang of them

You cook, though, he finds it tedious since he doesn’t even eat

But he always watches and keeps you company

Sometimes even hug you from behind if he’s feeling affectionate

If you get sick, he will be your personal nurse

Always taking care of you, giving you whatever you need

And since he can’t get sick, he cuddles you for comfort

Spooning in bed, always

Connor doesn’t sleep, but he watches over you during the night

Making sure you feel protected and warm

And that you don’t have any nightmares

You have fallen asleep in the couch many times

And Connor always carries you to bed so you’re more comfortable

And puts a blanket over you so you don’t get cold

Connor also loves getting involved in your pastimes

He watches your favorite shows with you

Or if you play any instruments, he listens 

And he adores when you tell him about your interests

Or about your day or just anything

Connor just loves listening to whatever you have to say

When Hank is around, he feels a little jealous

Because he wants to have both your attention and Hank’s

Also, Hank is annoyed by your affection

So Connor (and you too) feel inhibited to be all cuddly

But the two of you play with Sumo a lot

And take him on walks together

Holding hands and taking turns on carrying the leash

You and Connor chat a lot, about anything and everything

In fact, many nights you fall asleep in the middle of a conversation

And Connor smiles at himself when he realizes

There’s never any arguments, and you help each other out a lot

It’s all just so warm, close, intimate and fluffy! <3

I mean, he does say it, it’s how he greets people and introduces himself

Hank hadn’t told you about him, probably because he was annoyed about Connor

But you try to hide your surpise and introduce yourself

“Hi, Connor, I’m Detective Y/L/N, but you can call me Y/N”

“Pleasure to meet you, Detective Y/L/N”

You chuckle, amused by the formalities

You should have known he would choose the polite approach

“What are you doing here, Connor?” 

“I work with the Lieutenant, we were assigned the cases of the deviant androids” 

Now you get it, Connor was programmed to investigate it

“Well, good luck then” You shrug, feeling a bit awkward

He isn’t really good at small talk, you notice

Connor then tilts his head, confused

A habit of his that you find so cute (don’t we all)

“I’m sorry, Detective, but I don’t understand what purpose luck plays”

You chuckle again, finding him oddly adorable

“I just meant to encourage you, Connor”

“Oh” He smiles politely. “Thank you”

You say goodbye and get back to work, but you like Connor

He even waves at you while he sits down and waits for Hank

You work at the DPD so you see Connor a lot

You get along with him despite the awkward moments

And you’re nice to him for a change, which he appreciates

Also, you can’t help but to intervene when Gavin is being a jerk

When you hear the words ‘dipshit’ or ‘tincan’ or something, you know

So you roll your eyes and stand up to put an end to it

And yup, as you thought, Gavin is abusing Connor

“And here we see a male human being intimidated by an android and picking on him to restore his ego” Is your entrance quote

You always say things like those to show Gavin he’s not impressing you

Or anyone, for that matter, he’s just being a prick

You think that, if he wanted to, Connor would win in a fight

You had seen him in action a couple of times, he’s got moves

But you prefer not to tell Gavin in case he gets violent

“Stay out of this, Y/N” Gavin says, but you talk him into it

Although reluctantly, he leaves Connor alone

“I appreciate that you were kind enough to intervene, Detective” Connor fixes his suit, tie and hair since he’s a bit disheveled after the incident. “Thank you”

“No problem, Connor” 

And he always smiles at you, because he’s definitely fond of you too

Connor:

Connor soon learned about your anxiety

He noticed strange things, unusual behaviors in you

Sometimes you isolated yourself and similar things

But also physical signs and not just behavioral

Your heart would sometimes race for no apparent reason

He used to think you sensed danger, but he couldn’t find it

Even if you still looked nervous and anxious

Connor used to think you had asthma at first too

You kept looking out of breath

And then he suddenly realized it was a mix of stress and anxiety

He wanted to help you, so he looked up anxiety disorders

And downloaded treatments to his database

He would do breathing exercises with you when you’re overwhelmed

Or rather guide you through the exercises until you calm down

Connor would comfort you a lot, with tons of support and affection

He discovered hugs are a great source of comfort for you

So anytime he notices you’re anguished, he hugs you tight

And waits until you break away, wanting you to embrace it

He’s patient enough to give you time to recover

He’s always careful not to overwhelm you or force you, though

If you take any medication, he always reminds you about it

Makes sure you don’t forget to take them

He’s always making sure you cover your basic needs

That you eat well and drink enough water

That you rest properly too

If you have insomnia he’ll do what he can to change it

Distract you, talk to you, take you out

Sometimes you lock yourself home, so he offers to take a walk with you

Like all that thoughtfulness isn’t enough, he’s ready to hear you out

If there’s something worrying you, he’ll let you vent

And give you his opinion and even possible outcomes of a situation

He knows knowing the outcomes lowers the anxiety

Connor’s also there to shut that voice in your head

The one that makes you feel insecure and shy

To do that, Connor tells you how he feels about you

How you make him emotional and give him so many feelings

He had felt before, but it was you that caused him such things

Or more likely, that made him feel with such intensity

Before you, he felt empathy, but not all these new emotions

Like romantic love, adoration, fondness or things he couldn’t even define

He had never found a human adorable before either, but he thinks you are

And it made you feel better that he thought you were so great

Overall, that he looked after you so much, that he cared
