Posting two responses to 1623 thread.
This isn't a confession, more of a reply to someone else's response. I don't think there's some grand conspiracy about people hating La'an. (While I disagree with the "homophobic" argument about the Gorn murdering, I see it as just a nothingburger and a joke.) La'an is actually pretty well-liked in the general fandom despite the divisiveness over her backstory; I think people should be allowed to say their criticisms of her existence or actions without risk of being harassed, hence the anonymous confessions. SNW is also very recent Trek so it makes sense that recent confessions would be about La'an, especially since she's more a morally gray character than Chapel or Uhura. I also think it's condescending benevolent sexism to say a female character can't be criticized at all.

Ok, look, if some Spirks are behind some of the La'an hate, I wouldn't be surprised. That said, I also think blaming all the hate of season 3 on them isn't right either.
First of all, there were already people, not all of them Spirks, that disliked La'an even before she got involved with Spock or Jim before him, because she was an Augment, because of how people found difficult to accept her as a descendant of Khan, because as a really tough and strict character (before she mellowed out) some people had a hard time relating to and liking her compared to more cheerful and easy-going female characters. Ffs, people theorized that she was going to die when there was no reason to believe so, long before she got together with Spock! I think a few said that even before Tomorrow x 3 but it definitely continued after Jim Prime rejected her so in this instance the "Kirk/La'an" threatens Spirk didn't really stand.
Second, I think it's a bit disingenuous to believe Spirk is the only ship threatened by Spock and La'an. I haven't seen anything from the Spapels because we're not in the same circles but I don't think they're happy that their ship didn't get back together this season. And didn't this blog very recently have a bunch of confessions complaining that Uhura was done dirty by the writers because she was not made a love interest? You know that there are people that genuinely ship Ortegas and the Gorn and not only as a strawman argument? There's fanfiction! Yes that "La'an is homophobic" is nothing short of ridiculous but never underestimate the length ridiculous people are willing to go to.
In conclusion, Spirks can be obnoxious and I am 100% sure that some of them are bashing La'an lately, but it's annoying how every time a female character gets hate everybody immediately points the finger to mlm shippers: let's not pretend that only Spirks can be toxic, and let's not pretend that toxicity is only ever about shipping. Anyway sorry about the text wall.
