I was there for the surrender at Appomattox Courthouse on April 9th, 2015 - 150 years to the day when General Lee ordered the Army of Northern Virginia to surrender arms, effectively ending the American Civil War. It was an incredible weekend (despite calling it AppoMUDox), there were over 1,000 of us on the field and I have a lot of bittersweet memories. Onward Dixie!
