I generally think that wholeĀ āyouāre pitting them against each otherā argument is bullshit in regards to celebrities when people try to point out the superiority of one over another because usually thereās another factor involved. Ā However, if the only time you ever post anything about the āsuperiorā celebrity is in comparison to theĀ āinferiorā one, I cannot help but consider you to be, at the very least, not a very good fan. Ā If the entire expression of your fandom is comparing them to someone else, thatās just shitty. Ā Itās like when you date someone who just talks about how ugly and stupid everyone is compared to you, without ever giving a reason to actually like you other than that youāre not like those other people. Ā It usually makes you feel awful and makes them seem like not a great person. Ā Fandom, to me, is the same way. Ā There has to be a reason to be a fan of someone other thanĀ ātheyāre better than this person.ā Ā Thatās some lesser-of-two-evils politicians bullshit people try to pull.
