we got there just a little too late for erica mendez’s autographs :( although even if we could have gotten in, we had nothing for her to sign... WHERE is all the eleanor art, people

the extra frustrating thing is that when we were lining up to see lauren landa, erica was still there, right at the next table, not even doing anything, but we couldn’t creep over to see her :(( i really feel like they should let The Public into the lines if there’s still time after all the people with autograph tickets are done

i still don’t understand the autograph ticket system but 1) we got ours super easily and 2) that was the shortest line for autographs i have ever seen anywhere

i am also still angry that we got a parking ticket (for a whole $50!!!) for not displaying our parking pass in the dashboard of the car... when neither the attendant nor the ticket itself said we had to do that......... it may be a standard practice but it’s not how they did it at all the other parking garages i’ve been to

but we did meet lauren landa!! in our cosplays (as jude and leia)!!

there were actually a lot of tales figurines? they all cost upwards of $140 so lol nope

and so many doujins and yet... not a single good one...... not even one box i didn’t feel kind of gross looking through. so. lol nope

there were even rokurou/eizen books? as in, plural, more than one?? and yet......

instead i got a bunch of cute charms and a velvet print (!!). it was a surprisingly successful artist alley run considering that it’s a little smaller than sakuracon

driving for 2+ hours through pouring rain in the dark is... an experience. not really a good one

- it felt a lot bigger this year!! i’m glad they’re expanding, the location was nice and there was a lot more to do (even if it was too hot to do much of anything) - i hope someone posts pictures this year, i’ve still never seen most of last year’s - got david vincent and kira buckland’s autographs!! i really expected more edna art to be available but w/e, i’m fine with a little postcard for her - also got some wonderful tales prints and a zipper bag, and some pokemon stuff. it’s nice to have an artist alley big enough to present options but not so big it takes me two days to get through it all - i feel bad that i wasn’t able to sell trade my raven manga, because i know there were people who wanted it... next year i’ll be sure to get to the swap meet earlier :( - also should have gone to more panels but i had fun just hanging out anyway. tales clue and guess who are way too fun - the one panel i did go to was cutthroat cosplay and it was incredible. velvet was my favorite round. in true velvet fashion they left the supplies table in shreds - i feel like i met the real magilou and natalia at the photoshoot, they were both so good, and let me tell you that would be a character combination from hell - i kind of want to do a new cosplay but i don’t know who...... - anyway check out my Accidental Knifecat Face
