Computer Temperature Testing
So here goes a long post just cause why not.
So I have my computer setup with a simple Corsair H110I (280MM) that is set to change the fan speeds based off the CPU temp. So while just sitting here bored out of my mind. I thought “why not goof with some settings and see what happens”. So I started off with the fans and pump at extreme and ran a CPU stress test to get the over all temps. I ran different settings for 3-4 minutes each with a 5 minute cool down between each run. What kind of shocked me was how the CPU temp stayed the same each run with it staying at 47C (116F). But when changing the pump speed from quiet profile to extreme. The temps went up by 1C with it being 32.8C (91F) on quiet and 33.8C (almost 93F) on extrem. Well with the case that I am using it hurts the over all air flow ( Phanteks - ECLIPSE P400) due to how the front panel is made. So I know having it off will help a LOT with air flow but will also bring in a lot of dirt and dust. But for the hell of testing things out I pulled the front panel off and tried testing again. Leaving the fans at a custom but pump running at extreme.... The CPU temp dropped down to 41C (105F) and the pump temp went down to 27.3C (81F). Showing how much the front panel is hurting my over all temperatures in my computer case and on the CPU.
