Old National Bank donates computer equipment to local community organizations
As Old National Bank finalizes its partnership with United Bank & Trust during the conversion this weekend, ONB is also preparing to donate computers and other information technology equipment to three non-profit organizations in the Southeastern Michigan area.
These donations are part of an ongoing initiative developed and led by IT Asset Manager Dan Nord and his team in Old National’s IT department. “As a result of recent partnerships, Old National often acquires duplications or equipment that doesn’t fit our needs. So we work to identify community organizations that could benefit from a donation of lightly-used and far more modern equipment,” Nord explained.
In 2013, Old National Bank donated nearly 500 electronic units that otherwise would have gone to E-Waste. ONB expects to re-deploy nearly 1,500 units to community organizations by the end of 2014.
Equipment pick-up – August 25
NEW (Non-profit Enterprise at Work), Lenawee United Way and Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan will be the recipients and are scheduled to pick up the equipment beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 25 at Old National’s (formerly United Bank & Trust) training center at 610 North Evans Street in Tecumseh. ONB associates will be on hand to help the organizations load their trucks.
