Comp Prompt #2: Using either memes, photos, gifs, videos, or even a song, tell us about something that you witnessed, experienced, or remember.  You must use hashtags (ex. #truestory) to give us context regarding the story (i.e. background information).  The only text you should be typing is in your hashtags. I always change how I carry myself depending upon who I am around because of the need to feel alike, but not totally. I mostly change how I speak. I have done close reading to find specific information only for assigned readings. But, I do enjoy reading outside of school.

I have done some close reading in the past, mostly in high school. Close reading is a good technique for writing about literature and can reveal certain things that you either didn’t realize the first reading, or didn’t realize had significance. I haven’t close read outside of a school setting. I don’t read many books outside of school anyway, so close reading isn’t something I do unless I need to.

I ‘close read’ for school assignments all the time but I also do it in my everyday life. For example, when I’m looking through movie titles on my tv searching for a specific movie that I want to see. For school assignments, I search through a text looking for a specific answer to a question while not really reading every word on the page.
