Okay I’m in a better mood, I can make the angst post now
So, unfortunately, if you’ve gone through a situation of being repeatedly scared by something, you can end up associating it with something else, even years after you’ve last had to deal with the situation
And I was thinking about, how for me, it’s a noise
And you wanna know what else makes noise? Machinery of pretty much any kind, meaning there’s a very likely chance that every time Danny hears the ghost hunting equipment power up, it reminds him of his parents trying to capture him
And since his parents are always messing around with the ghost equipment, he probably feels unsafe every time he’s in his own house
#let me know if I need to tag anything#ptsd?#complex ptsd?#hopefully everyone likes this angst#I got reminded of it recently because I usually have my earphones in when my mom comes home#(moved in with her after turning 18 it’s more like a roommates situation)#so I didn’t realize it still affected me that badly#till a couple days ago she pulled in and I just dashed into the bathroom slammed the door and started shaking without thinking#and I realized it was the noise of a car pulling in which I heard this time because I had taken out my earphones#and I think that’s something Danny could end up going through unfortunately#danny phantom#danny fenton#DP#DP angst
