It's my happy palette's turn to be featured: my Sakura koi 24 pocket field sketch box . Honestly, Sakura Koi is a student grade set that can get chalky. I've seen other sets with brighter colors but I've also seen sets with duller colors. BUT with everything going against it, the simple but deep joy I get when I see it before me actually helps me in creating pieces that I am more than happy with. In fact, my planner peeps have mostly been exclusively painted with it! And they're such a happy bunch that I'm truly proud of. . Invaluable advice for artists: purchase materials that you would actually use, that you're happy to use and that let's you create happy pieces... Featuring Philippine endemic wildlife for #PrincetonBrushGiveawayPH wildflowers theme. The Jade Vine, Strongylodon macrobotrys (underlined) is a native to our mountain ecosystems. How sad it is then that, like many other endemics, these have been taken from the wild and raised to be jewels in gardens... Beautiful but kept, possessed by others, as if they weren't their own :( and due to habitat loss, it's unlikely we can return them to the wild (without making drastic measures to reclaim wild land).
