#apparently this is traviss mando'a and I'm like I Don't Want TheseĀ @compactpersian
Really? Why not? Personally, as someone whoās very into Mandalorians, Iām beyond excited to see MandoāaĀ canonized, especially the form of it Iām familiar with.
Like, I get hating Traviss (sheās the worst, and I hate her so much, so Iām with you there), and not wanting what sheās written to be canonized, but it seems a little unfair to bring it against the language. The language isnāt as steeped in the problematic toxic masculinity, misogyny and sexism, and general sometimes reductionist view of Mandalorians she takes elsewhere.
Also, while she greatly expanded it, and itās generally called even by me Traviss MandoāaĀ to differentiate from fan work, itās actually an invention by Jesse Harlin, composer for theĀ Republic CommandoĀ game, and Iām personally really invested in his work, as the originator of the language, being canonized.
And, I guess itās a little much to ask the writing team to create an entirely new conlang when thereās one right there. And, when the Concordian dialect of the Mandalorian language that exists in TCWĀ is already clearly a cousin of the Traviss Mandoāa.
