I wish people would use their indoor voices more often
Today I saw someone jump into a moving train. Don't worry tho, the conductor was there at the door to help her. While I hope that doesn't ever happen to me, I also think it would be awesome. Seriously, how bad ass would you feel after jumping into a moving train?!
Happy Monday!
So I just got rapped to right in the middle of the crowded station. To prove how good he was he decided to freestyle and rap about the people around us. The Black Swan was dropping some pretty sweet rhymes. Didn't buy his CD thoā¦

First, let me explain to you what the quiet car is on the train (yes, there is such a thing). Ā Each day the conductor announces over the PA the rules/code of conduct for the quiet car: āIf youāre sitting in the first car, thatās the quiet car. Ā Please refrain from cell phone use and loud conversations. Ā If you need to make a phone call or have a loud conversation, there are seven other cars for you to use.ā
So after a long day, I boarded the train home and sat in the quiet car next to a young man. Ā I got out my ticket and kindle, ready for a relaxing ride home. Ā As Iām sure you can guess, this was not the case. Ā After a few minutes, this guyās phone rings and he picks up. Ā Ok, maybe he just answered it to let them know heās on the train and will call them back or whatever. Ā Nope. Ā He decided to have a full-on conversation, and not a word of it in English. Ā Alright, maybe he doesnāt speak English well and didnāt understand the quiet car announcement, Iām not gonna be āthat guyā and try to explain to him why he shouldnāt be having a loud phone conversation. Ā So I try to ignore him and concentrate on reading my book, but itās no use. Ā I end up sitting there for the rest of the ride slowly losing my sanity. Ā However, he was kind enough to finish his conversation about two minutes before I got off at my stop, so thatās something I guess. So the lesson of this story: never forget your earbuds.
Today at rush hour, on the train, an older woman in business wear and I sat down left and right of a man at the same time.Ā
"You are now surrounded by women," she told him primly, and added with a strange mix of satisfaction and distaste, to the world at large, "Just what board meetings should be like."
You know it's a Monday morning when you're train is sitting in traffic on the way to work. Seriously. We were creeping along at a snails pace and then stopped for like 10+ minutes this morning because of other trains on the track that we're backed up from earlier delays. I thought I was avoiding traffic jams by taking the train⦠nope.
