Last December, I joined #CommonRoomPHPopUps for the first time in Alabang. It was so heartwarming to know that a big Mall would be willing to let small time makers and artists have such a big space to themselves. The walls were all decorated with murals while the ceilings featured artworks from many artists. Shelves filled up with the hardwork of each maker. The whole place was filled with the spirit of creating! . What I feel is rekindled during these kinds of events is a sense of comradely between makers. A time to celebrate our small victories! . Rekindling my love for my craft after waves of self doubt all but drowned me has made this trip worthwhile. Lately, it's been hard to motivate myself to keep going. The loneliness and monotony of figuring things out as a solo entrepreneur drained me more than I knew. So a break or change of view was very much needed. But wow! What a "break" this was! In just a week, I was inspired with new possibilities, new friends, and the joy of working for myself. I learned that I do have what I need to make things happen. The me now is enough.
