If you’re looking to combat post acne hyperpigmentation, vitamin C products like these two are a great place to start. I’ve also found that when I remember to use Vitamin C consistently, it tends to also help keep my acne under control. I think that’s just because the ingredient agrees with my skin. Even though my skin is overly sensitive, it can handle vitamin C really well. The easiest way to prevent hyperpigmentation is also going to be using SPF, so I loved seeing a product that incorporated both sun protection and Vitamin C. Both products feature a light citrus scent (lemon and lime were especially evident to my nose), and I didn’t feel like it smelled like cleaning supplies if that makes sense? I forgot to say in the video, but I love how both of these are in opaque packaging, which helps the vitamin C last better than it would in a clear bottle.
I know a lot of you were curious about this SPF after I posted texture shots to my story the other week. I didn’t get to test it in the sun because I’ve been really busy (and mostly indoors), but I think a lot of people forget that you need to re-apply every two hours for these sun serums to work properly. I did still try it out multiple times, and I really loved this formula. It looks like it could be sticky, but it didn’t feel sticky to me. When it was blended out, it felt similar to a lightweight moisturizer. I didn’t feel like I had to add a moisturizer on top of it, and I think that’s thanks to hyaluronic acid in the formula. It also features niacinamide which is another great ingredient that helps with hyperpigmentation. As for the serum, it’s incredibly lightweight and I think it would be good for multiple skin types. I highly recommend both of these products!
