These constant excuses that Maya sees Lucas as a brother is too funny really, I mean itâs not in Mayaâs actions and sheâs never said so either. Now on the opposing hand, Riley is not attracted to Texas Lucas and she claims that she likes him. No that is not how it goes! Riley doesnât like ORIGINAL LUCAS because ORIGINAL LUCAS doesnât fit her dream image of the perfect boy! Can you rucas shippers admit that? I mean you guys use the same excuse over and over and over again, you guys really donât have any proof that why Lucaya canât be romantic. ââââ R.S: âRiley likes Lucas and Lucas likes Rileyâ L.S: Itâs one sided, Lucas never really showed much affection towards Riley, yet Riley shows all of her affection towards Lucas, so technically Lucas doesnât feel that way about her R.S: âMaya wouldnât date Lucas because Riley likes him/that would hurt Rileyâ L.S: so Riley already salvaged her date for her best friend. And if Riley was really a good friend to Maya, why wouldnât she be supportive of Maya and Lucas (we already know that she knows Lucas likes Maya). Plus if Riley got hurt in Rileytown, and that helped her grow, thatâs enough to break Rowanâs immature character. R.S: âMaya and Lucas are brother and sisterâ L.S: lol have you seen GM Creativity? Lucas literally cared about Mayaâs happiness, no brother of someone would do that unless they had a crush on that person, how Lucas came to Rileyâs defense in Rileytown is brother/sister behavior. Lucaya has a good friendship that can be turned into something more very quickly because they are drawn to each other with no problem. Plus Lucas said that he was the best person âcontain Mayaâ. R.S: âRucas kissedâ L.S: Riley KISSED Lucas, they did not kiss each other, learn the difference. And that was a .3 second smooch on the lips, not a kiss. Including after they dated for like 1-2 hours and they were extremely uncomfortable around each other in that state PROVES they donât have those type of feelings for each other. If Riley and Lucas really liked each other, they shouldâve rescheduled their first date, or when they went on a date they wouldâve been completely attracted to each other like a magnet. R.S: âMaya wouldnât ever date Lucas because she doesnât like himâ L.S: yeah because Maya said that in season one means that still applies right now? She got to know Lucas more and how you view someone changes over time.
All of this is just common logic. Thereâs really no excuse as to why you canât ship Lucaya, itâs not going to hurt Riley and Mayaâs friendship. Theyâve been friends too long to let Lucas get in between. Itâs ok to ship whatever ship as long as you respect the other personâs point of view and not call it âimpossibleâ âridiculousâ âpointlessâ or âpatheticâ. You cannot deny that they get along really well and they have really fantastic chemistry. But if you call not respecting someone's old;present personality or personal space a good ship than please reconsider.
