The implementation of the Common Core Content Standards (CCSS) seems to increase the level of angst for teachers. Teachers simply want to know what they are being held accountable for and they will figure out how to get it accomplished. However, levels of anxiety appears to skyrocket with teachers because teachers are still unsure which specific standards they are required to teach.
We figured teachers would appreciate an aggregate graphic of the CCSS Overview Objectives. We constructed a simple tool called the "The Common Core Word Cloud"(click to see). The Common Core Word Cloud’s simplistic design helps teachers clearly focus on their grade level CCSS.
Key benefits of the Common Core Word Cloud: 1. Teachers can more easily cross-walk subject area content expectations (differentiated content). 2. Teachers can more easily identify objectives and differentiate instruction. 3. Teachers can more clearly demonstrate instructional tasks during the teacher evaluation process.
