Say Sahar does find a cure for the Calling; what does she do afterwards? When it occurs to her that she can live a long, full life without a Circle and no Blight --- she is as free as she can or has been --- what does she intend to do? Has she considered a far future for herself? A family? Does she never set foot in Ferelden again, and does she remain in contact with her old friends? What does she want to see when she's old, looking back at her life?
bearing in mind that sahar only spent about four years in ferelden ( from about 9:27 to 9:31 dragon ), and three of those years were spent either trapped in the circle and/or dealing with the blight and amaranthine, itâs safe to say she doesnât have a lot of fond memories of her time there.  she is not spiteful or vengeful, so she would communicate her findings to the wardens in southern thedas, but ... she wants to stay in her own country.Â
iâm childfree so i tend to write my women as also childfree. sheâd be happy to find a partner and build a life with them in beit nefesh. but she has no desire to bear or raise children, though she enjoys being an aunt to her nieces and nephews -- at least one of her brothers has children. in fact, the only verses i have where sahar is in ferelden again after the blight are when sheâs called to the inquisition for some reason or another. her mindset towards ferelden is that she recognizes there are good, honest people there -- but itâs not the right place for her, as she cannot live a valid and fulfilling life in a place where she and those like her are hunted and persecuted for the gift of magic.Â
before her family moved down to ferelden, sahar had been a prime pick for alâshifa, aka the state hospital / state hospital system, so she would probably try and pick that back up and work as a healer, either in the capital or one of the outposts around the country in beit nefesh. she finds service rewarding and i think thatâs what helped her throughout the blight  ... but the south is no place for her.
