       The promise was made and Link kept to his word ; he was going to introduce Otto to Compass. The blonde was more than excited for this to be happening. Compass could hopefully have a new friend to hang out with! Ditto for Otto.

    “ Ya won’t regret meetin’ him, I am swearin’ ta ya! “

       He announces while leading the way to one of the places he typically found the taller blonde. It started with Link excitedly pushing the Villager along the way, since holding his hand wasn’t an option but now he’s just taking the leader role. Thinking that both Otto and Compass could be a bit more happier put the hylian in mood to hum a song while walking.

     “ He likes ta hang out in quiet places, so don’ be ta loud, okie? “

        When they reach the pond that this giant mansion has provided, Link calls out Compass’ name in a sing-song tone plus a wave. Then he pulls Otto into view.

       “ Compass! I brought my best friend with me! I was forta hopin’ ya can be friends! Otto, th’s ‘s Compass ‘n’ Compass  .   .   . Th’s ‘s Otto! Both of ya ‘s nice! “

Apparently, common sense was up in the air the moment Lore dropped into this place. He didn’t understand any of it as proper cities were almost never part of his lifestyle, but he was sure that there was a group of authority somewhere. These guys in pig costumes didn’t cut it. At least, his navigation skills were about par, so he didn’t have to deal with them. He skittered about the city, hugging the walls and avoiding the crowds. This place was giving him chills. 

“Wait...!”

A shadow padded by. It looked like- it couldn’t be. Yet Lore’s legs carried him off in a hurry, disregarding his former caution. He had to make sure. He had to. A shame that he had to trip over something. A shame that he had to land in front of someone’s shoes. Lore bit his tongue to stop him from cursing. The shadow was no longer there. 

Jay looked around, and noted the cold air and the sight of snow. He wasn’t exactly sure where he was. It wasn’t home, though. That’s about all he knew, though. 

The snow crunched as he walked, and he held out his hands. His hands were cupped around a small flame, to help him keep warm.

It usually makes his day to see the Colonel, regardless of what it’s for.  Today, however, was something much more special apparently.  The childish delight in his face is unmistakable, lit up with the sheer joy of seeing that little remote.  He could always count on Toffee to be thoughtful like this– he knows exactly what Porky likes.  He was the only one who really understood him.

     It’s apple cider.   He considered the other’s sweet tooth while making it and perhaps accidently he dropped more cinnamon than a normal portion suggests, but thankfully it didn’t alter the taste ; he knows, because he took a sip on a different cup to test it. The drink is a bit too sweet for his tastes, but he knows - and hopes - that the Commander would like it.
