The sun had just risen pass the beautiful horizon, the wind was alive as Amir was awoken by his curtains rustling in the wind. The monk shimmied to the side of the bed as his feet were met by the hard, cold, wooden floor. Amir began to hum an old tune from his childhood, putting on nothing but his worn slippers and his undergarments before the man slowly paced into the other room.
As the young monk paced every so peacefully to his meditation chambers, he took a long, prosperous breath before smiling warmly. Amir walked to the shrine as he gripped a small jewelry box. The zephyrite placed the box ever so gently in front of his padded cushion. The small tattered jewelry box was locked with a complicated mechanism that could only be opened with a phrase from the owner itself. "Alas, alas, how time must pass. Ancient, magical friend. So terrible, so dreadful that so treasured should so end.", Amir said in a pleasant and kind tone that lingered on his lips with a smile. A very subtle and faint click can be heard as the box opened, only to host a purple crystal. He positioned it perfectly as the monk then got to his feet and made his way to the padded cushion where he then knelt and began to meditate.
The breeze had been vanquished once the clouds had been parted, the sun shone bright once again. Amir closed his sacred box, placing the jewelrybox gently back into the shrine before promptly locking it. The undressed monk would pace himself as he made his way back into the bedroom. Per his usual morning routine he'd begin to fill a kettle with water as he placed it over a small, but gentle fire that was fueled by ancient wood. The monk was filthy from the day before, he strolled outside, taking a deep breath of the chilled air. As the brisk water surrounded Amir he continued to take deep breathes, ultimately dunking his head into the water before starting to bathe himself.
Water dripped down the man's body as he rose from the depths of the lake. His hair was heavy and wet, but smelled of lavender and pine. The brisk chill of the wind moved the streams of water around his body as he stepped out of the lake. Amir would feel refreshed and anew. The monk, now bathed dried himself off as he would walk back into his bedroom, the kettle, now boiling would roar with a loud screech, letting the monk know that his tea was completed. He placed his cup on the table, springing off a few sprigs of mint, slapping them together to release the oils. He'd pour the tea over the mint leaves as the room filled with an aromatic fragrance. “Pure Bliss.”
His tea was hot, but his body was chilled. The man drank his tea in harmony, as he prepared the ingredients for his first meal. The monk began to cut most of the ingredients that were produced in his garden. Peppers filled the room with spice as he removed the seeds from the innards of the peppers. The mellow smells of cucumbers masked the fragrance of the peppers. Various herbs were finely chopped as he threw them into a pan over the ancient logged pile that had turned to coals. He smiled throwing some wild sage rice and kidney beans into the pan as he took a deep breath, basking in the aroma of his cooking. He took a few moments to close his eyes, remembering this smells making it one with himself. Amir opened his eyes once again, cracking a couple eggs into the iron pan as introduced all the ingredients to each other. He grabbed a wooden bowl, placing the food right in the center. The famished monk placed his hands together, saying prayers before eating.
The End.
