[BEGIN LOG]

Jack: This is Commander Jack reporting in,

( distant gun fire is heard)

Jack: Reinforcements are finally here and we are getting everyone off of the planet. Mark and Tom stayed back to fight off the beast. Leim is taking a head count, and Billy is making sure everyone’s okay. As of right now, I have been instructed to wait on the ship with everyone else.

(he’s quiet for a moment, occasional distant gun fire breaking the silence)

Jack: I guess I’m here to supervise, but Mark said wait. He said to stay here and make sure no one gets in trouble.

(he sighs)

Jack: He just treats me like a child sometimes, but I could be helping so much more if he just trusted--

(he’s quiet then sighs again)

Jack: Never mind that last part. I need to get back to everyone.

[BEGIN LOG]

Jack: Commander Jack reporting in. We have been called to check on a Planet Called Glactictron, since we were the only ship near this sector. It wasn’t responding to any communications and we got a looping distress call, but then it went dead silent. Turns out the whole fucking planet just disappeared.

(pause, then frantically)

Jack: How can a planet just disappear? It just doesn’t make any sense.

(he takes a breath)

Jack: We have to get to the bottom of this. Commander Jack over and out.

[BEGIN LOG]

Jack: Our scanners and radar aren’t picking up anything. There is nothing out here. How could they all just--

(he pauses and clears his throat)

Jack: The last distress signal came from the leader Zerginoff. It was cut off short but…

(he pauses again)

[BEGIN LOG]

Jack: We’ve just reached the new location for the people of Laygo to live. Everyone is irritated and now we have to stay and help rebuild their planet and life. This oughta be oh-so-much FUN.

(he huffs out a breath)

Jack: Commander Jack signing off.

[BEGIN LOG]

(he sounds slightly panicked)

Jack: Commander Jack here with Lieutenant Leim. We have found the missing people of this planet! A huge Zalgore beast had taken them hostage under the surface of the planet, but they’re all safe.

(he pauses)

Jack: When the Zalgore shot at the ship, Liem and I were drifting into the atmosphere when someone in a small Speeder picked us up and took us to the surface. Her name’s Amy, and she took us to her hideaway to stay same from the Zalgore. She’s kind and compassionate, but a good fighter.

(screaming can be heard in the background, followed by a loud roar, Jack now sounds fearful)

Jack: I hope Captain Mark finds us soon. Jack over and out.

[BEGIN LOG]

(a long pause before he starts)

Jack: I know the Agency told us to always do logs, but I really don’t wanna talk… So, bad day. Jack signing off.

[BEGIN LOG]

(loud laughter is heard from inside and outside the room, Jack’s words are heavily slurred as glass occasionally clinks against a nearby counter)

Jack: This’s Jackie here reportin’ in ‘t ya.

(he pauses for a few seconds, possibly taking a drink from something)

Jack: We… heheh, we foun’ sum Jack Daniels on board! Woo hoo! Iza party now! But-

(he pauses again, hiccuping once before starting again)

Jack: NEVER! Never EVER! DON’T trust sumun with two first--

(he hiccups)

Jack: Two first names!

(shouts of agreement are heard from outside the room)

Jack: I may be--

(he pauses, definitely taking a drink from a bottle)

Jack: Juss a BIT drunk! Maerk is the only one who izn’--

(he pauses for several seconds)

Jack: Wha’ was I sayins?

[BEGIN LOG]

Jack: Man, I got completely destroyed by the Board. I just hope they didn’t set the bar too high on this mission. It never went well when they did that on my solos. Maybe that’s why I’m a Commander…

(he briefly pauses)

Jack: At least I managed to convince them to give us more time. We may have another stakeout. Maybe, I don’t know yet. Sorry I have to cut this short, but I have to go get more supplies for our ship. Jack signing off.
