Id like to ask you oc questions but could you maybe provide a list of all your ocs or do you have tags of them? :)
fuck i really should have gone crazy abt my ocs AFTER i finished the little chart of them i’m drawing fghdjsksk
anyway my core 5 ocs:
kotayim “kota” sanga x x is the one i’ve talked abt most, he’s a clone wars era jedi/later one of the earliest inquisitors
his padawan sirilla charn, naboo-born anxiety-filled gal who sees visions, protagonist energy
rook, kota’s love interest and clone commander, tough strict uptight hard-outer-shell-with-soft-centre, will say “i hope you die” affectionately
shanwey vell, pantoran, the youngest nat-born admiral in the GAR not because of talent but because of sweet sweet nepotism, reluctantly followed order 66 only to later find out she was the only one not literally brainwashed to do it. maybe contains half of a redeemable quality but we don’t know what it is
ashaa tarkona, sirilla’s love interest, force-sensitive daughter of a separatist warlord, angry vengeful teenager with a stolen lightsaber who grew up into a powerful matriarch and rebel leader

kota was one of the more well-known and even popular jedi generals and his legion did these propaganda holovids that the senate wanted. im thinking abt rook (his clone commander not-boyfriend-but-not-NOT-boyfriend) having a snippet of one in a locket post order 66... i’m imagining it’s like, a behind-the-scenes shot. kota swinging his lightsaber dramatically a few times and then running a hand through his hair and raising an eyebrow at the camera with a sort of self-deprecating smile and saying ‘well? how was that?’ and it just repeats
answering these for rook! kota’s clone commander love interest, for anyone who’s not familiar
🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they're lying?
oh, he’s stellar. clones aren’t very good liars as a rule but commanders are in a league of their own and let’s just say rook would put in the effort to learn how. he tends to have a very clean cold emotionless delivery when he talks anyway so it’s hard to tell the difference. it’s harder for him to hide immediate instinctual reactions to things, though
🌏 EARTH - will they give up the world for someone they love? is this decision easy for them?
he’s slamming the button instantly sfghdjsks. yes, he wouldn’t hesitate and he’d accept the consequences. i mean, we’re talking about a guy whose character-defining moment is seeing that kota was falling to the dark side, occasional yellow eyes and everything, and lying to him that he wasn’t (hey, look, above question is relevant!), a thing which kept everyone rook cared about together and safe in the moment, but also had terrible consequences for pretty much everybody. rook just kind of drops bigger moral questions if it’s immediately practical for him and his people
👑 CROWN - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why?
rook doesn’t really care about the wider galaxy let alone its opinions. he was born a clone raised for war—he’s never had the luxury of imagining that the galaxy would or could care about him as an individual, or remember anything of him. what he wants to be left of him when he’s gone is the people who he loved and kept alive and was there for, and the incredible things they went on to achieve. in his opinion, he’s more of a support guy
❇️ SPARKLE - what is their most prized possession? what do they value?
pre order 66? his long-range weapon. he got it from a bounty hunter contact—i mean, ahem, in a perfectly legal way that can definitely be reported to GAR requisitions—so it’s one of a kind. he’s not sure what it is, exactly, or why he can see so much through its scopes, or why it glows that way sometimes, but it certainly works. post order 66? a hologram locket of kota.
is having actual practical experience of ghosts cheating? because ashaa is literally haunted by a jedi’s force ghost. he’s in her lightsaber and it’s really annoying but he has good soresu tips
33. which oc has the most genre awareness? which oc has the least?
i would say sirilla has the most genre awareness. esp during the clone wars when she has that General Sense of Impending Tragedy that kind of comes with the jedi seer territory. definitely commander “it’s probably fine if the love of my life falls to the dark side like how bad can it be” rook has the least. poor guy
ABSOLUTELY NOT. he only cares abt like five people’s opinions everybody else can go to hell. would lie to the media constantly robert pattinson style or just never leave his house
9. what is their most useful skill?
practically, it’s his sharpshooting capabilities. he’s the only one who knows how to use ‘something’, his unique incredibly weird incredibly alien long-range blaster. you want him watching your back when you’re up in the front like jedi tend to be. but really his most useful skill is his steadiness, his durability, his ability to keep on marching no matter what

Another piece I’ve had languishing in my docs forever waiting for me to finish Broken Oaths. I’m glad to be able to finally share this piece
--
Wren closed the top piece of bread of his sandwich and picked it up, turning to face Rook. The sylvari watched him with a soft, amused look as he continued to eat his lunch while perched on the end of her desk. “I take it this isn’t just a social call. You’re my friend, but I know you don’t get to have a lot of those in this line of work,” he said before taking a bite.
Rook chuckled and reclined in her seat. She propped her feet up beside Wren and crossed her hands over her chest. “Not a social call, sorry, but it is about… this ‘line of work’.” She made air quotes with her fingers. Wren raised a brow.
“Oh?” he said around a mouthful of sandwich.
“I’m retiring.”
Wren was glad he hadn’t yet taken a drink from the glass he had raised, otherwise it would have certainly come out his nose. He carefully placed the water back down and looked at Rook in surprise. “Really?” He had heard her talk about retiring for years, ever since she had finished her campaign in Elona, but it was always presented as a pipe dream: something pretty to look at and think about but to never actually have the luxury of achieving it. “Like, done done?”
With a shrug, Rook stood and meandered around the small office. She picked up a knick knack from her desk and fiddled with it. Eventually, her feet carried her to stand before the sole window in the office. Outside, the streets of Lion's Arch bustled with life. “Well,” she waffled, “I’m retiring as Pact Commander. I’m not…”
She trailed off and faced Wren. Conflict was apparent in her demeanor. “I don’t know how much longer I’d have, going on the path I’m on. Every time I leave the safety of, well, anything, there always seems to be some near-death experience waiting for me. You’d think I wouldn’t be afraid of death, having already done it once before, but…” Her fingers twisted at the knick knack until Wren was sure it was going to snap in half.
He set his lunch aside and joined Rook at the window. “I understand. At least, I think I do.”
Rook gave him a grateful smile. “But no, I’m not throwing in the towel for good. I’ve talked with Logan. He agrees: there’s definitely room within the Pact for another Marshal.”
“He’s right. I think you’ll make an amazing Marshal. A bit more pencil-pushing than I think you’re used to, though,” Wren teased.
His companion snorted. “I’m sure I’ll survive somehow. Besides, I’ve not sworn off field duty completely. Just the more fatal kind. Sari’ll be glad, for sure.”
“You’ve not told her yet?”
“Mm,” Rook hummed. “This retiring business is a fairly new development. You’re the second to know.”
A sense of humility struck Wren, and he dipped his head. He cleared his throat as a thought hit him. “So… how do I play into all of this?” He was almost afraid to ask.
Wandering back to her desk, Rook set the knick knack down. She balanced herself on the table’s edge like Wren had previously. Her fingers danced in a wild rhythm against the wood grain before settling. She was steeling her nerves. It wasn’t often Wren saw his friend get nervous.
“I wanted to pass on the title. To you.”
“No.”
“You’ll do amazing, Wren,” Rook wheedled, “I know leadership isn’t your thing, but I’ve seen you in action. You’re exactly the kind of Commander that Tyria needs in the wake of Jormag and Primordus.”
“What, a socially-anxious mechanic?” Wren scoffed.
“Someone with a good heart and a firm head on their shoulders. And a bit calmer of a temper than my own.” Rook fixed him with a soft look, the one she knew always got him to drop his guard.
Wren met it. It was only a few moments before he averted his gaze. His attention found its way back to the window. “I…” he began. The rest of the words didn’t come, though. He released a sigh as he watched the citizens of Lion’s Arch breeze past the office window. “I can’t accept it, I’m sorry Rook. If you had asked me a few years back, I probably would have said yes. But things are different now. I’m… not even sure I believe in the Pact all that much anymore,” he admitted softly.
A slender, calloused touch came to rest on his shoulder, and Rook appeared at his right. “I understand. Believe me, I’ve certainly questioned the goodness of it all once or twice. Or more.” She exhaled in a short puff of breath. “I don’t suppose you have anyone else in mind, do you? Because you were about the only person on my list.”
Wren laughed. Outside the window, he focused on a norn couple locked in a lighthearted debate. He inclined his head at the pair. “What about your young protege?”
Rook followed his gaze. “Glaw?”
“From what you’ve told me about them, they seem like the perfect fit for the job. A bit young, but then again, what are you? Seven? Eight?”
“Nine,” Rook said absently.
“Exactly. And they’re certainly not green to the whole commandering business. They practically idolize you, too.”
Rook huffed. “Glaw does not.”
“I swear, that kid would follow you to the Domain of the Lost and back--if you ever ended up there again, for whatever reason.” He cut off with a yelp as Rook punched his arm.
“Alright,” she acquiesced after a beat, “You’re right. I’ll ask.”
“Sounds like a plan, Commander,” Wren said, rubbing the sore spot. “Or should I say, Marshal.”
1,8,30,31 for the relationship asks please! [ @thoseofuswhoblossom ]
I'm just gonna do every one of my ships for each q since I have like 3 lmao
1. Who’s the one who’s reckless and always getting into trouble while the other gotta pull em out
Rook/Sari: Rook is constantly getting her ass into trouble and Sari is perpetually having to pull her out (definitely with a big sigh and a fond eye roll). Since Sari is the responsible one in the relationship, Rook is more comfortable with being reckless (to her own detriment)
Glaw/Braham: eh it's a mutual thing; whoever is being reckless is pulled out of trouble by whoever has the more level head. More often than not, it ends up with one being reckless and the other encouraging the reckless behavior or even abetting in it
Stagthorne/Wren: Stag is constantly in trouble with someone (usually the authorities, or Rook, or both) and Wren is begrudgingly the one to get him out of trouble (usually by sweet talking said authorities)
8. How does one comfort the other when the other is in distress/having a panic attack/crying
Rook/Sari: When Rook is having a hard time, whether from PTSD or general stress and the like, Sari comforts her with quiet companionship. Rook isn't big on talking when she's in a vulnerable state (she hates someone even seeing her like that), so Sari will offer her presence and just wait until Rook is ready to talk (or inevitably act like the whole thing never happened, in which she will badger Rook about it later on when Rook is in a more stable headspace). As for comfort and distress and Sari, well, Rook has rarely ever seen Sari upset or panicking, and she has only seen the stoic charr ever cry once (when Sari was sick and started bawling over a small dog)
Glaw/Braham: they're both people who value touch, so distress is often comforted with a soul-crushing hug, or at the very least a comforting hand. With a panic attack it's a little different (especially in Glaw's case, as they have a habit of lashing out in their panic) so it is generally gentle words and patience, ready to ride out whatever is waiting at the end of the episode
Stagthorne/Wren: they are still in that awkward stage of their relationship where neither is sure how vulnerable they are able to be with one another, so distress is quietly observed and rarely comforted in either, and they definitely won't be talking about it later on
30. Do they dance together
Rook/Sari: yes, when they are alone and feeling sappy, and there's a slow, sweet song playing. Rook is usually the instigator, with Sari being reluctant but eventually giving in. They never dance in public (there is rarely an occasion), but Rook is never one to pass on the chance in private
Glaw/Braham: indeed, and it's often a clumsy affair where both are stepping on each other's toes and knocking elbows, but Glaw is two left feet and Braham is about as graceful as a dolyak, and both know it, so it's accompanied with giggling and looks that devolve into more laughter. Initially they were awkward about showing such affection in public but as time progressed both became shameless about their clumsy but fond dancing
Stagthorne/Wren: never in a million years would you get them to willingly dance with one another (at least, not in their current relationship), but when they inevitably end up hand-in-hand in a very formal and public dance and have no choice but to save face and dance with one another, they will definitely melt into each other and dance like they've been doing it their whole lives
31. Do they sing together
Rook/Sari: Not really. Rook sings, and Sari listens. Rook will sing just about any song she's ever heard because they all end up as earworms at one point (and she's heard a lot of songs; both she and Sari are getting tired of Bash the Dragon, but it's so catchy). Sari only knows old war songs she and her old 'bandmates sang, and she's has yet to share any of them; Rook isn't one to pry
Glaw/Braham: Glaw doesn't know many songs, only the newer ones they've picked up while travelling with Dragon's Watch and Co, but Braham is always eager to teach them new ones, particularly when they're both drunk, in which yes, they do sing together. In a belting fashion, loud and off key, but neither one cares
Stagthorne/Wren: it's not often, but yes, usually when they're both exhausted but neither can sleep, late at night. It's always murmured and whispered words, barely registering to eithers ears in their fatigue. Old sylvari songs, or ones that most of the world has forgotten, always soft and sad and bittersweet, like a lullaby or a ballad
20. "Can anyone calm your commander down, no matter what? If yes, who and why?" from the Commander asks :)
(regarding Rook)
In the beginning of it all, definitely Trahearne. Rook always saw him as a level head and someone who could be trusted to make the right decisions no matter what. He was the one who taught her to think less with her fists and more with her words. So after his death, it was understandably rough for Rook whenever she got in over her head because her solace was no longer their. It certainly didn't help that the only other person who was ever able to similarly console her was Wren, whom she has known nearly as long as Trahearne, was also lost in the depths of Maguuma. But Wren has since returned and now serves as the person Rook trusts to talk her down if she loses her cool.
