Libertarian Accelerationism in Patriotic Fonts
Glenn Beck has a plan. Trump's tariffs won't just save the nationâtheyâll build it anew. With what?
Deregulation
Public shaming
And industrial resurrection through state-aligned ambition
Beck wants factories. Not just old ones. But âdata fortresses,â âchip plants,â and ârare earth mines.â He wants the future manufacturedâby decree.
But hereâs the twist he canât name:
When the government directs production, funds infrastructure, picks industries, and sets market incentivesâ Thatâs not capitalism. Thatâs state-led industrial policy. Or in your old dictionaryâsocialism with nicer fonts. Or, if it's only for corporationsâfascist economics dressed as patriotism.
You canât call regulation tyranny and then praise centralized planning when it builds the future you want.
Glenn doesnât hate big government. He just wants it to wear cowboy boots.
He doesnât reject collectivism. He just needs to pretend itâs not collectivism if the flag is waving while the money moves.
The truth is: You canât deregulate your way to rare earth mines. You mandate them. You fund them. You force the market to align with national will.
Call it what it is, Glenn. You're not defending capitalism. You're writing the playbook for American command economy 2.0.
