This comic is awesome
Iāve been reading Thor the complete collection by Jason Aaron, which is a more recent Marvel Thor series.
I finished volume 1 recently, And I canāt get over the artwork on theĀ āāgod butcherāā story- It makes it seem as if every panel is a painting...
Like, thats art goals. Everything has such subtle light details, and very detailed expressiveness. Iām aware that this comic maybe had a different penciler and colorist, but the combination is amazeballs. You canāt tell that this mightāve been produced in collab- Its so stylized?
(Either way I might be wrong, maybe one person did these pages.)
Some of my favorite parts of this comic, due the art:
For storytelling, this conveys so much. The light, the paneling, itās epic.
And the villain of this storytelling, his design, and the way he is depicted makes him look menacing and intimidating.
āāGorr the God Butcherāā A character that really evokes a feeling that he likes to kill, torture. Kinda funny they didnāt just name himĀ āāGoreāā Because honestly, thatās this villainās stick. He hatesĀ āāgodfleshāā andĀ āāgodlingsāā and the drama of this story is that Thor through his immortal years finds signs of Gorrās slaughter, because gods rot very slowly after they die. One really cool lore part was that Thor mentions that the corpses he found couldāve been hundreds of years old, and you wouldnāt be able to tell because they look like theyāve been killed recently.
The way Gorrās drawn during his action and fights with younger Thor really makes you feel like you know how he would be animated:
This guy only has 1 favorite expression, lol. Teeth out, all menacing.
Throughout the Complete Collection vol, for the Gorr storyline, the main parts of the story are mostly drawn by this artist, or someone similar. Gorrās backstory near the end is drawn in a completely different art style- while some people may find that jarring, Iāve gotten used to the way marvel does things with different artists drawing their stories.
The backstory of Gorr is actually quite sad, and it makes sense why he ends up as the god butcher, the artist for that chapter had a very gritty andĀ āāroughāā style, and conveys the feeling its supposed to make you have. It feels dry as the desert, as if the character would wander into endless misery. Very fitting!
After the God bomb story (Which finalizes the God butcher arc for this Thor volume) You get the story with Malekith, which seems to be longer because it turns into theĀ āāwar of realmsāā event. Marvel does this thing were several comics have crossover stories, war of realms basically appears in several different series, not just Thorās. Iāve arrived at the arc with Roxxon and Lady Thorās first appearance.
As for the God Bomb story.. I still thing it was a very flawless read. It had three timelines of Thors interacting in which the story took place, and the last fight was very epic.
I def recommend the series by Jason Aaron, he seems to be really good at his writing, because it was hard to put it away.
This is mini comic issue that I made was loosely based from Fairly OddParents: Breakin Da Rules Video Game which is in episode 9 āA Dogās Lifeā, where Vicky wishes Timmy to be as easy and fun to take care ofĀ as her dog, Doidle and suddenly transformed into a dog. I heard it on YouTube video, but not the gameĀ that I've got.
Anyway, what if I change it to pretty awkward at the end.
Timmy founds this mysterious soda at home and didn't know if is bad or good on the count that there's a question mark sticker on it, but Timmy drinks it anyways. Suddenly, he transformed a dog completely and forget everything that he was a human. I know it's a bit dark, but when Tootie came. She was looking for Timmy, instead she finds Dog Timmy which come to a surprise that he's been adopted her with love sight. Yikes! This is so not gonna end well for Timmy, but at least he can't remember anything in human form, right? Maybe...
Suddenly came into the bushes, it's all Foopās fault with his tricky sodas plan to turned Timmy into a dog completely while Tootie adopted and keeping him as her pet like.... FOREVER!! O_O; Yikes!
Okay, Okay. I know this is a dumbest comic story I've ever created it, But I couldānt help myself because I think it would be nice if Tootie had a another pet to herself just look like Timmy, than again it could've been so creepy...
Here's a bonus if you dare to see it...
