Who is Nezha? Upcoming Villain
So I saw a post saying they didn’t know who Nezha the demon that is possessing Damian in the upcoming Batman vs Robin story is. Don’t know if this will help much but here’s some info about Nezha. He is a sorta of a old slash new villain of Batman and Superman. New because he was actually recently made comics. But old villain because he showed up the past of Batman and Superman old adventures. He made his first appearance in Batman/Superman Worlds Finest issue #2.
Now Nezha wasn’t always a demon, he started human. As explained in these pages.
As you can see his story involves how he had lived as a warlord’s son, a soldier basically, died and came back to life due to his father. However in the end Nezha became disappointed of what his father became. And due to this he came to want rule the world with learning magic along the way. By the looks of it maybe learning the dark arts. ( Side-note: I think this story of father and son relationships will be explored in the Batman vs Robin run. Not just Bruce and Damian but also Nezha and his father. As both sorta reflect one another. A father not willingly letting his son go and going to the extreme to get them back.)
Anyway Nezha doesn’t get what he wants as he stopped with by a dangerous plan, a group of mighty warriors and a great sacrifice.
Now what is the great sacrifice? The great sacrifice is that although Nezha can be sealed with in a cave it can only be sealed from within. Someone would basically have to become a prisoner with Nezha that is if he doesn’t kill you first.
If anyone wants to know how he got out in the first place, how he got sealed again and how dangerous he truly is leave a comment. Or if this helped let me know.
