Hi, you were talking about your Boss tuner at the beginning of your pedalboard. Can you explain what the buffer is and what it does to your sound when you place the tuner in front of the rest ? I have a TU-2 that I put in front of the rest too.
In really short less technical terms, a buffer (well, a good one) will preserve higher end frequencies and what have you through longer signal chains. Boss pedals have a pretty notorious buffer in them that people have talked shit about or praised on the internet for years.
I’ve always used a TU-2, so I leave it out front because it’s how I’m used to my pedals sounding and feeling.
I also usually throw my Wah pedals before the Tuner if it’s sounding a bit wonky.
A lot of that could just be in my head, but it’s been working for me for years.
