fuck i feel so bad for columbina. in jester's play she gives the vibe of 'person who happened to get caught between some toxic shit these other two are doing' and in tt's tent it gives the vibe of 'person got protected and now feels guilty because the people protecting her got hurt and she can't do anything about it' and in harlequin's performance she gets idolized and immediately killed off.
I mean in tt's tent we do see her say they're just trying to protect themselves in their own heavily traumatized ways, but also like. Harlequin's is the only one where she seems to have any sort of decision, (ignoring the flashbacks), and that could be a part of harlequin (unintentionally) shifting the blame off of himself. Not that I feel that's a very harlequin thing to do, but it's one of the most traumatic things of his life, it would make sense for his mind to twist it whether he's trying or not. in the mirror she asked to be saved and says thank you, but even then I feel like there's so much more to the situation. I don't believe we even know if the mirror is true or if its an illusion made and controlled by ticket taker.

The more we learn about columbina the more I love her. I think she's so interesting! I think she's tragic!!! Don't get me wrong, I dont think she's perfect by any means, and I'm super interested in her flaws (or even 'flaws' by humans standards but not by monster and vice-versa) but so far she seems like a good person. I think theres just something so emotional to me about the 'sweetest' one of the group being the first to go. She might not have even been the sweetest, since Pierrot could have been tied with her there. (I don't think we know enough to tell yet, I am also behind on the ama's ngl) I really want hugs and gentle pats on the head from her as well.

Knowing for sure that columbina and pierrot were never romantically together, I wonder if it could be part of why pierrot is obsessive? He's worried if he doesn't move fast enough he'll lose mc too?
I wanna know who's the one without a flame in his chest. It probably the ringleader. But it could be whoever attacked her home?
It's really sweet that she doesn't seem to have any anger towards them. I think, in an au where she somehow comes back to life, (idk how I'd do that) that she has a period of peace in rejoining the crew before she finally feels safe enough to feel hurt. (even if it was the logical decision, even if she preferred for it to be her than someone else, feelings don't always account for those. i think that would be worse, because she'd feel guilty for feeling upset at the others for what happened.) Maybe it's just my ISAT fixation crossing over, but I'd really love to explore the consequences of dying like that and then being brought back, and then living with the people that killed you, regardless of how willing they were.
On that AU idea, how would she handle being gone for that long? How much has the world changed? How much as the troupe changed? I don't think she viewed them as family, I think the troupe considering each other family came a while after her time, during their travels. (Since when asked about family she defaulted to her parents in the ama) Like how she described Pierrot as cheerful, but we know that before MC he's been pretty sullen and low. Also 'shy' and 'cute' for current harlequin? I uh. I don't think so. And with a "Columbina Comes Back AU" I wonder how the troupe would react to her. Would they think its a dream? Hallucination? Would she think it's a dream? What was the afterlife like for her?
It's actually so funny that one of her nicknames is Nana, because that is actually a nickname my family uses for me! I don't like it much anymore, but a few people get a pass.
It's actually so sweet that Columbina saw this villain-esque emo old dude and went 'we're friends now!' and then didn't leave him alone.
She described Harlequin as brave. I wonder if thats why she trusted him to 'save' her? Not necessarily the way he did, but she trusted that he would at least try SOMETHING to protect the ones he cares for. Pierrot was too sweet (and potentially weakened) to hurt her, ticket taker was likely too attached to her, and I don't know enough about the others and her to say. There's a chance her and jester just weren't close enough for her to really trust him, and even though he has his curiosities Doctor seems relatively...gentle? Despite his size he doesn't seem to resort to violence unless he really needs to? Still, i don't know the specifics, this is just a thought.
Also, I could be misremembering, doesn't ticket taker like tea? It might have been jester that likes it, either way I think it one be sweet for one of them to bond with Columbina over nice teas.
