I feel bad for George. I want him to try something new. He has no motivation.. He has "I want to marry Shannon" and "I want to be myself, an independent person" which in theory are good motivations, but his "being an independent person" somehow turned into "I will inherit my father's company". I don't remember umineko mentioning whether he likes working there or not! Like, how will he become hia own person if he doesn't experiment to understand what he likes? I understand that the narrative tried to put Shanon in this position, but Shanon is a person, not a "thing that George likes".
