Does anyone here have any headcanons about Colterron? Like how they can speak English? Or what Mother might know about them?
Ooh good question! I assumed what we heard was some kind of machine translation, but maybe not? I’m guessing that they must intercept human military transmissions or maybe even pick up radio/tv signals from Earth or Mars? I like the idea that they’ve been watching our tv shows.
From what I gather, Mother picks up emotions, not words or images? Actually I haven’t thought that much about Mother…I’m not sure how sensing Colterron emotions would generate useful military information, unless they only act on feelings, not intentions or orders. That would make them an interesting and confusing opponent! It would also require them all to be feeling the same thing at once, I imagine, or things would get extremely confusing and overwhelming.
