#colour pooling

Basically you take a skein of colour changing yarn liks this one I have here:

and arrange it so the stitches fall in specific places to make a pattern, like this:

This took me so long to figure out lol (( ༎ຶ ◡︎༎ຶ)

It only has three colors so I thought it would be simple? But no. No, because the color pattern repeats itself EACH 16 COLOURS. SIXTEEN!!! 💀

It's "YRBYRBYRBRYBRYBR" (imagine the B is brown instead of purple pls Tumblr doesn't have brown colors for letters 😔) and each colour only lasts enough for me to make one stitch! And that's considering that this yarn was obviously not designed to colour pool with (not something I took into consideration) so each stretch of colour was a slightly different length, and my tension was alllll over the place. It took me an hour to figure all that out and THEN I still had to get it to pool while still staying the size I wanted. It looks so good though...
