In Him do we live. We can lack nothing because His word tells us that He will provide all of our needs. We also cant fail because His word tells us that we can do all things through Him that strengthens us. We know this because He is ruler, king of kings, the beginning and end. Just like Job, the enemy has to ask permission to distract you with his shenanigans..until we remember that in Him, we are Whole... who wouldn't serve a God like Him???... We keep on running after things that we think will satisfy us --- relationships, money, career, popularity, etc., only to find ourselves dissatisfied and lacking in the end. And these pursuits are just tiring, disappointing, leaving us wanting more but still incomplete. It's because Jesus is the only one that satisfies and completes us. That void in our hearts which this world cannot fulfill can only be filled by Christ. He is the living water and with Him, we will never thirst again.
