Science fair at work today and this was probably my favorite experiment that I did with my class this week. #scienceexperiment #colortransfer #preschool #preschoolscience #preschoolteacher #montessori #montessoriteacher
Short examples demonstrating features of product RE:Match. More info at revisionfx.com/products/rematch/ More info on what is being demonstrated follows: 1:18: When you shoot stereo, some pixels on one side of the frame are not visible on the other side. This shows the ability of product to propagate the color match in the areas that have no correspondence in other eye. 1:30: The orange train hood on left and the sky is over-saturated. RE:Match fixes this. 1:44: RE:Match provides visualization modes allowing you to see where the disparity matching has some potential issue to help you set the controls. See the difference after on left where the red pixels are. RE:Match handles occlusions. 2:01: Car on left is a different shade (more green) in one view in part because the paint reflects light differently into the two camera lenses. 2:13: Helicopter on left gain/exposure is slightly higher than on right side, note it works even if there are reflections, shadows and if we see through the glass. 2:22: A number of phenomena (here light underwater modulated by waves) can cause the shading to be different in each view - this can be corrected for better stereo fusion by the viewer. 2:29: A common issue is how specular highlights can be so different between views. RE:Match even allows you to reshape large highlights so they match in shape. The red shapes overlay in these videos are garbage mattes provided to help the tool behave distinctly in these areas. 2:45: Many stereo defects are easy to roto as they are at a consistent location over time such as here waterdrops and lens smears. Note in this example both views had to be fixed due to water on each lens (but it in different places) 3:02: Even with the best callibrated camera system when the sun (or light source) hit the camera from the side, sometimes only one view will be affected. 3:33: Here we remove a lens flare appearing only in one eye (the documentation reviews how to add it to the other side - your other option). This sort of optical phenomenas usually makes these shots go to the trash bin because this kills stereo viewing. 3:39: On some frames as the person walks across the sun, there is a lens flare on only one view. RE:Match fixes that and as well relocate the specular location so it is a better stereo then the camera can physically capture.
