one little project i did on the side was making a higher quality color reference for thumbelina from the don bluth movie of the same title! there's a decent blank linework model sheet, but a low quality colored version... so i decided to fix that by cleaning up the linework and coloring it for ya!
first we have this version, which is directly referenced from the pantone colors of the annotated color guide version:
then, i made a second version where i gathered color references from the actual animation cels and cross-referenced them with each other to find that perfect balance:
i hope this is useful to those of you out there that'd like to just color-pick from an image rather than just eyeballing it!
