this picture was taken on one of the first summer days of this year. i love the different views of the colonius in cologne. i think it's only possible here because of the relatively low buildings in the city and the flat topography of the rhine plain, because even far out in the neighbouring towns you can find it as a distant landmark.

so you can always find your way home, even without google and co.

an einem der ersten sommertage diesen jahres entstand dieses bild. ich liebe die verschiedenen ansichten die sich in köln auf den colonius bieten. ich bin der meinung das geht auch nur so hier, geschuldet der relativ niedrigen bebauung der stadt und der flachen topografie der rheinebene , den selbst weit außerhalb in den vorgelagerten städten läßt er sich finden als ferne landmarke.

so findet man immer heim, selbst ohne google und co.

and once again the colonius, seen from a street canyon in ehrenfeld, with the telekom lettering still intact. at night, only the position lights are lit, so it appears to float.

und mal wieder der colonius,gesehen aus einer ehrenfelder straßenschlucht, damals noch mit dem intakten telekomschriftzug. momentan leuchten nachts nur die positionslichter, so das sie zu schweben scheinen.
