for my senior capstone class, i spent the last two weeks (ten days) playing around with these super-cool triptychs? each set contains 3 images i associate with a different original character. all drawn in ink, and nothing but ink. there are four stories represented here!
things said in class during senior year: “no, i’d marry a werewolf”
my university sucks so much sometimes but they're also kinda cool and idk how i'm supposed to feel about them exactly.
like i think one big part of the "cool" aspect for me is that i lived right next to the university for most of my life, heard a lot abt it from my family, etc and everyone was kind of collectively like "yeah, you're gonna go to clemson one day and be successful." and some of the stuff they do is legitimately cool! it's primarily a research university that actively involves undergrads in real-world projects through this program called 'creative inquiries' (which i am planning to do soon) and like. i had no issues or qualms with speaking to my professors about personal projects of mine because they're interested and want to help, and i really like that kind of culture
on the other hand, it costs a fuckton to go here. like i'm full-time, in-state, and my tuition is like $8,000/semester. half of it gets covered by grants for financially needy students, because i did come from absolute poverty tbh and my EFC was like, 0, and the other half comes from federal loans. so i dont really have to pay for anything except for textbooks, and this semester its like $400 for two access codes :T. so i think clemson is really limited as far as the types of students that actually can afford to attend, and like 80% are middle- or upper-class. so that's a definite downside
