#2 (below) Collection 2000 Hot Looks in 30 Sherbet Lemons & Dior Vernis Glittery Top Coats in 001 Dior Sequins (Spring 2024), 218 Dorure (Holiday 2023) and 309 Cosmic (Holiday 2022).
#1 I've fully convinced myself I don't need the new Dior Spring shade (595 Lilac Organza) because it'll be too similar to this light grey, which has a lilac tone to it (quite proud of myself for showing restraint for once). The two were truly stunning together (definitely looked more lilac than grey). I like the new top coat, but do I £31 like it? No. It's pretty, but not magical. There's no need for the £4 increase (since the Christmas collection), when the price of their polishes already went up a couple of times last year, don't think I haven't noticed Dior!
#2 I didn't have a clear vision for this, I knew I wanted something bright (I manicure by mood), yellow came to me, it's a colour I'm lacking in my vast collection though. However I found this (very probably 15 years old) Collection 2000 one (they're not even called that now). It required 4 coats for an even coverage, but yellows are notoriously streaky and/or lack pigment. It was a little more mustard toned than I anticipated. Anyway, I thought the Dior Spring top coat would really pop on top, with that hot pink glitter. It didn't. So in frustration I used the top coats from last Christmas and the Christmas before that (not looking forward to removing all 9 layers)! The result is a lot of very fine (and smooth) micro glitter. It's not dazzling unfortunately, but the yellow is eye-catching...but not what I'd call pretty It's not my favourite tbh, but I did want something different from my usual.
*I always use Barry M Green Origin Base & Top Coat (as a base) and would never be without Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat*
Makeup of the Day: Feeling Blue
Makeup of the Day: Feeling Blue
Hi everyone, how are you all today?
Today I was feeling a bit playful when it came to my makeup and used a hint of colour around my eyes. I love playing with eye makeup most of all and I loved how this turned out.
I kept things quite neutral apart from a neon blue outline and blue mascara. And the vast majority of items used were drugstore purchases.

Blogmas Day Twelve: Beauty Advent ✨
Hello & Welcome to Blogmas Day Twelve! Today I opened another beauty advent present. I got a Collection nail polish in a glittery purple colour.
When you first apply this it looks clear with a hint of colour and loads of glitter. This looks really nice however you can always do more than one coat and build it up to look more purple.
This would be great for the party season to add a bit of glitz…
