- What/who inspired you to start making gifs 

I was in a YouTuber fandom when I joined this site in 2011 and @saengking was the man for gifs back then. He made them full-width too, which was wild considering the file size limit was like 1MB. @johnnysilverhand is the first one I can remember following for their film gifs 💕

- A set that took you a long time/was really hard but you’re really proud of how it came out 

Mainly my end of the year gaming sets like this one or when it’s Jessica’s birthday and I make sets like this one and this one.

- Any advice for novice gif makers/people who want to start making gifs

I could go on and on, so I’ll just drop a few points:

Use the new width dimensions and upload them in a Photo post, not a Text post

PS Actions can help you save a lot of time. I use one for adding Smart Sharpen.

If the source is 24fps (i.e. a movie), don’t skip frames, and use 0.05 as the frame delay. Any slower looks jarring to us that are used to that smooth speed.

The new file size limit is 10MB per gif, and they don’t get compressed to hell like they did earlier. People might not be able to load your set if you push the filesize of the set to 100MB, so maybe not do that, but at least be aware that you have that freedom.

5: What is your favorite movie/TV show to gif: i dont think i have a fav, but in general i love giffing animated movies bc of how much you can play with the colors & also sci-fi in general bc u can get really cool shots??? if that makes sense idk

9: What/who inspired you to start making gifs: i saw ppl making these beautiful and colorful gifsets and i was like…. i wanna do that. thats it honestly i just like trying new things!

23: What is the thing you gif when you don’t have anything else you want to gif: probably doctor who! i love just rewatching eps randomly and taking scenes i like & gif them.
