Since they’d gotten back in the car and perhaps a little before that Cole noticed Aiden had been tense. Which was unlike Aiden, sure the male could be a nervous mess sometimes, but never this tense and quiet. Cole normally found solace in silence, but coming from Aiden it made him nervous. Cole eyed Aiden carefully as they pulled up to a stop light. Carefully he reached across the console to grab Aiden’s hand. “You alright?” He asked. “You seem a little off. Did Darwin say something? Cause he really doesn’t know how to shut up, was it about the time Stacy Kittridge poured her beer on me for saying I could design a program smarter than her, cause...I mean...I probably shouldn’t have said it, it wasn’t nice, but it wasn’t exactly false either,” Cole says. “But really if Darwin said anything he probably didn’t know what he was saying, his brain to mouth compatibility is severely lacking and he’s a textbook not liar perhaps, but embellisher at times. Also, I’d be fully willing to end my friendship with him if that’s what you want,” Cole jokes, “been looking for an out for years,” Cole says trying to give Aiden a comforting sort of smile with the corner of his mouth quirking upward causing a dimple to jut out.
