hellow i have chosen to start tumblr blogging again as i am continually pretending it is sometime between 2006 and 2010 :-)
the world is ending in so many ways but i have my dear friends and music especially parenthetical girls and art and so many wonderful things despite it all. my heart is always full of love and no matter how much i want to leave this school and city and country i am going to find joy in simple things!!! if i had been born maybe 16 years earlier i can imagine myself having a blog similar to this and writing about my stupid obsession with zac pennington. i love him so much i cannot deny it. it is really late right now and i will probably hopefully fall asleep soon. lately i’ve been going to sleep to my playlist of benji santos’ music, they have the sweetest and most calming voice that gives me this unmistakable sense of nostalgia for a time i was barely conscious for.! oh and i’ve been compiling a playlist that gives me the same feeling, one of the songs being parenthetical girls’ cover of “sit down” by ivor cutler. haven’t looked into his music or poetry very much but i did find out the album that the song parenthetical girls covered is also called privilege, i’m assuming they named their ep series after it. speaking of parenthetical girls inspirations, zac wrote in the liner notes of safe as houses that a line from “love connection pt ii” was taken from richard davies, and after a little digging i discovered that the line was “our hands, our glands are on the rampage” from the song “instinct” by the moles. just in case anyone was curious. song for tonight is “sit down” goodnightttttttt

Be careful.
Those resentful glances that you think I don’t see, they give me frostbite.
They freeze my fingers and toes and send shivers down my spine.
They eat away at me until I am nothing more than cold flesh and brittle bone.
Be careful.
You know me better than you think.
