dude don’t even get me started on twaho that fic started everything. I have, I have a lot of feelings about Charlie and his interactions with the other islanders and eggs. I just want him to get the healing arch he deserved and if that means rewriting canon and giving him a fuckinh greenhouse, I’m giving qsmp Slimecicle a fucking greenhouse
I’ll be honest though, didn’t have much planned out regarding word building besides the warpstone when I started writing it so don’t look too hard into inconsistencies in the beginning lmao. also consider charlie maybe not even knowing the whole honey thing since he had to learn most slime stuff by himself so he thinks the bee farm is just for the greenhouse which is already sweet enough to him but then Etoiles is (playfully) complaining about all the research he did to figure out whats good for slime health and Charlie is left gobsmacked bc he looked into slime stuff???? for him???? also maybe even Etoiles using his research just to help with accessibility around the island. maybe working with phil to put freshwater ponds where they arent readily available in case its really hot out and charlie forgets he has a warp stone (for the tenth time)

all im saying is that maybe he puts the bee farm by the greenhouse. so the bees also help pollenate the various plants. meanwhile Baghera and Pomme are distracting Charlie while he gets it ready. but also the bees keep landing on him bc hes a cucumber and then they get in the way so when Charlie gets to his house he just finds Etoiles angrily stood completely still covered in bigass minecraft bees. Charlie does not help and instead laughs hysterically at him

ouugghhhhh slime biology my beloved. I adore seeing what other people have developed for slimes. What kind of diets do slimes have? i typically see them as opportunistic eaters (omnivores but they literally eat anything available if hungry enough, maybe even resorting to cannibalism if desperate enough). another hc i have is that honey is a good food for them bc it helps with their viscosity as well as being a good source of sugar. I accidentally used this as a way to also share my own hcs oops uhhhh

i never even thought abt honey hold on-
I also see them as opportunistic eaters!!!!!! almost scavengers for their ability to quickly encase animal carcasses and dissolve the remaining organic matter. same for compost from farms or other wildlife, though they will try to eat crops if the farmers aren't watching lmao. They rarely eat or hunt anything live unless they are starving and delirious with hunger. Fresh meat and plants are seen as a treat though. You know the whole whale fall phenomena? think that kinda and slime groups descending on like a, bison or bull carcass. They'll pick and eat as they go, needing nutrient-rich water to help heal or get better. I might adopt the honey idk i like how it sounds... What they eat can affect them too. Slimes might need bones but they Will Not eat rotten flesh to get to them because the sickness lingers in a way that's different to others. (same goes for bones, but that's a rant for another day...)
on this topic, i like to think that charlie's first introduction to "drinking" was consuming fermented, rotting fruit and accidentally getting drunk lmao
