Are We Brainstorming the Wrong Way?
"In open-plan advertising offices, conference rooms, and design firms everywhere, employees are being encouraged to gather together and reach inside their noggins to pull out the most original and creative ideas for some good old brainstorming sessions.
Turns out, decades of psychology research have shown that traditional brainstorming may not be the best way to innovate. On the contrary, collaborating in such ways yields less quality ideas than working in solitude and later meeting to share."

Stop wasting time at work! Three things you need to cut down on:
Excessive e-mail: Be careful! Over-relying on e-mail can be counterproductive.
Pointless meetings: Are you needed in this meeting? Are all the people you required to be there actually crucial to the meeting? Not only do too much meetings waste time, but they disrupt work momentum as well.
Constant interruptions: One useful tip - Turn off unnecessary notifications on your phone. Do you REALLY need to be audibly notified every time somebody likes your Instagram photo?
