Sort of an experiment is salvaging a piece of wood, that I probably didn't need to. Originally the spalted maple portion was this thick, and I had made an extremely janky coin rack out of it using the radial arm saw with a wobble dado blade. It worked, but eventually I made a nice one. I was asked to give the original maple one to someone, but I didn't want to give someone something so rough.
