8. Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging

When he's on Earth, Cas likes stargazing. Moreover, he likes how the stars look from Earth, how they're so faraway and almost mysterious. He likes that you can still see some of the stars that he might have even witnessed burn out hundreds of years ago, and likes to pretend sometimes that he is hundreds of years in the past, because then he wouldn't have to worry about so much. And, of course, there's the aesthetic beauty. When you're in Heaven, everything can be really close up and in your face, but when he's just sitting on a hilltop in Kansas looking up, it's something beautiful, like a painting, and he's reminded of how large this universe really is, and takes solace in the fact that no matter what mistakes he's made, the universe, in all of it's hugeness always holds the capacity to forgive him.

12. Favorite book genre

Science fiction, because it makes him smile. The humans don't get everything wrong, and he likes being surprised by how clever some of them can be.
