Cody Bratt’s book, Love We Leave Behind, is being featured in Athens Photo Festival’s photobook exhibition now through July 28 in Athens, Greece.

One of Cody Bratt’s photographs has been selected as an American Photography 35 winning images. The photo was chosen from thousands of submissions by jurors including Jessica Dimson and Eve Lyons of The New York Times Magazine, Lea Golis of Apple, Natasha Lunn of Airbnb Magazine and Thea Traff of TIME.

An image from Cody Bratt’s series Love we Leave Behind has been awarded an Honorable Mention at the 24th Annual Juried Members’ Exhibitions at the Griffin Museum of Photography, running from July 19 to September 2, 2018. 

In the winning photograph, the dramatic contrast between light and shadow conveys a separation between the subject’s mental and physical states. The images has an unsettling disquietude and cinematic quality that is representative of the whole award-winning series. 

The opening reception is on July 19th, 2018 from 7:00-8:30 PM accompanied by a gallery talk from Juror Richard McCabe at 67 Shore Road, Winchester MA 01890.
