She was torn.
She did all she could where she was needed, and wherever duty called her she followed. And now she was being beckoned to a beyond that she was unfamiliar with. Her sense of morality and love of her craft urged her to go. And yet her spark lingered. The very idea of leaving Osmium, he who brought her up from nothing into something, hurt her. He would want this for her, urge and nudge her to move on and do something more, and yet there was a sense of guilt. And she felt shame for that sense of guilt. She could make herself sick if she concentrated on it too much.
In a mix of emotion she stared at the offered contract, her candid and wide optics hiding not a flicker of eagerness, uncertainty, fear and panic. Her hand raised to touch it, yet it remained suspended in air.
“I -- are you sure?”
