Honestly, I have never understood why he didn't join the team at the end of season 1, but it's nothing a retcon can't fix. The funniest thing is that I'm pretty sure the rest of the series would've played out the same anyway- He'd be their mole in the school staff and could help them get off-campus, but he'd rarely get to actually join them on their missions because he wouldn't be able to risk getting fired. He'd just help defend the school, and team up with Aelita to fight on LYOKO during holidays.
Of course tumblr would go down as I'm re-watching Code Earth and falling in love with Jimbo all over again
He would've been such a good addition to the team. He clearly loved the students so much and his heart was always in the right place.
